| Assuming consistently warmer days are in fact coming, what do you wear as a foundation in the summer heat? I wear tinted moisturizer most of the year, but by June I feel like my face is melting by noon in the heat. Is there something else you wear that stands up to the heat and humidity? Also, I’m over 50 so being kind to aging skin is helpful. You’d think I’d have figured this out by now but it’s really only in the last few years that I’ve taken to wearing any makeup besides mascara and lipstick. Thanks. |
| I wear tinted moisturizer/SPF from Paula's Choice Resist line. One layer, done. |

Estee Lauder makes foundation for older skin. I read that L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation is good, but I've not tried is at their colors are limited, and I have olive toned skin which makes finding foundation matches harder.
I would also use powder, and get some blotting papers. |
| I'm not OP but the same age and same concerns - I hate matte foundation though. I think it really ages mature skin. I don't want sparkly, but a little bit of glow is helpful. |
| I generally think foundation looks bad on most people over 40 anyway but the idea of wearing it in summer is stifling |
| I really like the Laura Geller correcting foundation. I put on moisturizer with sunscreen, then brush on the LG after it dries. Just enough to even out my skin. |

I use this: https://www.cerave.com/sunscreen/face/hydrating-mineral-sunscreen-spf-30-face-sheer-tint-medium
It's a little "greasy" feeling like sunscreen when first applied, but quickly is absorbed by my dry skin and wrinkles to give me a more consistent base and sun protection. |
It looks bad on most people “period.” Embrace your natural skin and set your pores free from brown-tinted goo. |
| Haus labs. |
| Wear a primer over the tinted moisturizer. |
| I don't! Just moisturizer with sunscreen. |
| Are you using any primer or setting powder? |
|
I use the Lune Aster CC cream with SPF and usually it lasts. Sometimes I’ll do a setting spray on top if it’s a super humid day and I want to keep a made up look. For formal events , I use Patrick Ta hydralux foundation, which is amazing for maturing skin. It’s not too heavy at all.

| Fenty Eaze Drops. It’s a light weight blurring skin tint. It’s fantastic. |
| Go light with tinted SPF, but then set just the chin, nose, undereye and maybe center of forehead with a bit of setting powder. Do not cake on powder or use the little round applicator that comes with some of them, use a proper powder brush and go light. |
