Starting a thread to share waitlist movement now that May 1 has passed.
Me so far: Nothing. Anyone else? |
|
ITDS down one this morning for K. Also dropped three places in April, so down four all together. Number in the teens.
None of the rest of mine have moved since Thursday, and only moved a max of one spot in all of April. |
| Nothing moved for me either |
| May 1 was a Friday. Today is Monday. Did you expect the school staff to be working all weekend to adjust their rosters? I was highly stressed the year we lotteried so I get it. But geeze take a chill pill. |
No, but now that it's late morning it's possible they would begin to do so. I like to start threads like this to have the information in an organized way. |
| Probably will see significant movement by next Monday. They have to reconcile enrollment and that just ended on Friday. |
| Moved 1 spot on stokes French Brookland |
| Enrollment paperwork was due at our charter today. |
| Lots of prek 3 movement at all the DCI feeders except MV. Any ideas why? |
Is it the anonymity which makes people like this on here? Just remarkable rudeness when the OP simply asked others if they’ve seen movement. |
Seriously. The population of dcks on this forum is so out of line with my experience of DC and the DC parenting community. It makes me worry that all the lovely people I meet are actually secret a**holes, just waiting for enough cover to let it all out |
| We added Thomson to our list post-lottery and already got an offer. All the other schools on our list where we are placed between 50–100 on the list, we have maybe moved 1 or 2 spots (mostly in the wrong direction). |
| Early elementary at H-A moved 2 spots in our favor since last week. |
| Latin 2nd moved one spot for 8th. No hope, I know. |
|
I realize some parents with anxiety can’t help but constantly check the waitlist.
But if you are not above or OCD, relax. No need to constantly check. You will be notified if you get a spot. It doesn’t help to worry yourself if you move up, down, or no movement. Why worry about things you can’t control? The outcome will be what it will be. |
