| Can’t wait to see this. Played by his nephew, jaafar Jackson. |
| Me too. My daughter (18) cant wait either. It will be weird seeing pop culture moments re-created when I witness them in real time when I was 13, 14, 15. I was a HUGE MJ fan back in the day. |
I think this will be the most intriguing part, reliving the rise of the King of Pop. |
| No interest in seeing a movie about a drug addict pedo. |
|
Michael Jackson is the ultimate (contemporary) conflict of values for me:
- he was accused of and probably did some very messed up stuff - I love his music! And to learn that the movie brushes over the scandalous parts of his story… I don’t know if this is right. (Actually, Bill Cosby is worse and therefore sadly I cannot support him by watching his shows anymore.) |
| Michaels been cancelled whp funded this film? |
+1. It’s not right but typical. |
Michael Jackson has not been cancelled. His estate earns over 100 million dollars annually, and since his death 3.5 billion dollars. |
Do his children get most of the money from the estate? |
The review says that the movie covers his early life up to the release of the Bad album. Probably wise to end it there before all the allegations came up. |
There’s talk a second movie will come out addressing his issues. Gotta make that money! |
Culkin and other celeb kids say he never acted inappropriately. After all, they don’t need his money. |
Or, you know, predators know not to go after high profile targets who can ruin them. |
| I think he was just odd (who isn't when growing up from such a young age and at the mercy of being a money making machine for adults) and while he might have been obsessed with hanging out with kids, I don't believe he did se*ually inappropriate things. But maybe that's just me not wanting to believe. But being odd and not well-adjusted is different from being a pedo. |
| Can't wait! Taking my 18yr old too. |
