| How often are you eating beans as the main part of your meals? |
|
Never. I cannot tolerate them, despite using the cooking methods that reduce gas. I can tolerate small lentils, and do like those.
|
| I try fur two dinners a week plus several lunches (chick peas on salad). |
| A couple of times per week, more if I've made a big pot of them. I happen to like them. I made red beans last week, and I'm making Mujaddara this weekend. I'm not a vegetarian, I just like them. My fave is probably homemade baked beans from dried navy beans -- they aren't remotely the same thing as the gloopy sweet mushy crap that comes out of a can at the store. |
I'm the PP above who can't tolerate beans. I like beans, I've made my own baked beans before, and love chickpeas. But no one can be around me the day after... and frankly, I don't like being around myself either. |
| 3 times a week generally. |
|
I eat a lot of chickpeas. I make a big batch of chickpea salad and eat it for lunch over a few days.
I'll do black beans and rice but I often have beans as an additional on instead of a feature. |
| Every single day. |
| I love beans and used to eat them at least three times a week. But I’ve also been constipated since forever and the only thing that solved the problem was stopping eating them. |
| Never. Don’t like them |
| Frequently in soups, stews, salads and various bowls. I would say probably daily, although it's probably more like 20 out of 30 days per month |
| I try to reduce the meat by adding mashed beans the a burger or meatloaf. |
| Once or twice a month. |
| Almost daily with dinner. We do a lot of chicken, black beans, and rice. |
|
We do red beans and rice for dinner about once a month, various chilis with beans once a month, and always add beans to any Mexican dish - tacos, enchiladas, burritos, chipotle bowls.
We always have several lentil soups or side dishes that we eat. And several Indian lentil or chickpea based meals. So, probably twice a week? I have to do the soaking thing and watch my portions or I get horrible stomach issues. |
