Best salad in Montgomery County?

Looking for a new place. I like basically all kinds of salads. One hidden gem is the Cobb salad at Sisters Sandwiches in Olney. It’s quite caloric so I don’t get it all that often but it’s delicious.

District Bistro in Wheaton makes an on point Caeser Salad-bits of quality anchovies, homemade dressing. It's a ubiquitous salad and usually is made with some half assed Sysco type dressing and similar food service croutons but DB gets it so right.

A lot of salads are high in calories.

I guess there are some real salad-lovers who eat it for non-diet purposes. Let me examine this thread like a scientist peering at alien life in a petri dish.

+1 The Ocean City Chicken Salad with Spiced Pecans and the Crispy Two Noodle Shrimp Salad are great.

I haven't found a good salad place. I'll start by saying I eat my salads without dressing so a good salad to me has fresh, in season vegetables.

Costco Sweet Kale Salad.

(- Includes kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts, radicchio, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and creamy poppyseed dressing)

I rinse and chop the greens once more because I like very finely chopped salad, spin in a salad spinner and then also drizzle some lemon juice in it. I feel that takes care of some of the oxalate issues with the vitamin C in the lemon juice. Then I add shredded carrots and boiled chopped sweet potato & Ube yam in it. Then I also add chopped tangerines and chopped toasted walnuts. Then I take my time to mix, mix, mix.

I hate salads that have huge pieces of lettuce etc in it. Chop the darn veggies and also mix the salad dressing well.

A lot are, but agree a useless comment on it's own. A better comment would have been, "salads aren't aren't automatically healthy" or something like that. For the average person a salad will at least be slightly healthier than the slop they eat regularly and introduce at least some vegetables. Now cover it in ranch and tons of bacon and we now have a problem.

In my kitchen is the best salad.
I use previously marinated and grilled chicken.
Make a dressing at home- Maple Balsamic- and then massage kale (stems removed and leaf torn) for a few minutes with the dressing.
I use old sourdough or whatever bread is lying around to make fresh croutons. Chop the bread into cubes, add to the grease from the pancetta (See below) and then toss in seasonings.
Add Pumpkin seeds or candied pecans from Trader joes, dried cranberries, honey goat cheese, pancetta, and apples.

Im ready for relations after this salad. Its so delicious.

The only ever salad that has ever compared is one in Denver Co and thats because they had pecan crusted goat cheese medallions fried on the salad.
