RE your last point. Have you seen the pictures of QEII this year? She was smiling like its the happiest she's ever been the week Phillip was dying, the week after Phillip died and at every engagement since. I can't tell if she's got dementia (in which case - bad for a head of state), she really hated Phillip (in which case - the 6-decade story about her 'strength and stay' is total BS), or she's just loopy from meds but its pretty amusing to watch the rota spin it as 'our Queen's so strong'. No, she's grinning like a fool. Strong would be complete and total desolation like Queen Victoria after Albert's death. |
But only one person on this thread constantly brings it up. Why so interested if its not earth shattering? You (or someone with a similar one track mind) don't miss a beat to tie everything back to Rose. Why are you so obsessed? You seem to think Rose is at the center of every news item, rumor, decision, public outing, and on and on. So what? If she's a side piece she's going to stay a side piece. William isn't going to leave his wife for her, he's not going to repeat his father's mistake. He seemingly cares a lot more about his image to let that happen. But someone here seems to be breathlessly anticipating a divorce that will never happen. |
Eghh - Camilla held out for 30 years before she got a ring and that's not an exaggeration. They met in 1970 and married in 2005. Not that I really think either of those women expected/s to get the ring. |
Do you know how rare that is? That pretty much never happens. |
Wills comes from an established bloodline of cheaters and monarchs who rule with impunity who cast aside wives like used napkins. Even Charles is trying to get his favorite mistress the title he insisted she never have and that's all due to him thinking his will is the most important. What makes you think William isn't genetically pre-disposed to do the same? |
Until the recent generation divorce has been exceedingly rare. |
Seems to happen all the time in the U.K.
The future King is married to his mistress. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is married to his mistress. The Secretary of Health just left (7 days ago) his 15-year marriage for his mistress. The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (highest Cabinet role for monarch) just left (4 days ago) his 20-year marriage for his male mistress. That's all just now. I have to wonder if its a societal construct in the U.K. that you choose and now marry - a mistress. |
Does William really come across as some partying play boy? Were you also the one who came running in here with the gossip about a royal household member known be out partying late into the night and were like "OMG that totally has to be William" When it was perfectly obvious it was about Edo. If so, your idea of William tends to be way more off the mark than right. |
Cool, will you promise to hold your breath until your wish comes true? |
Is that a serious question -- did Charles? Taking on lovers takes on different forms at different ages. Both Charles and William were hard-partiers in their 20s and William especially was documented falling out of clubs on a weekly basis. Then Charles transitioned to a more reclusive long-term affair in the countryside and guess where he was based? Come on you'll never guess. Anmer Hall. The BRF have an ironic sense of humor if nothing else. |
Nope, I'm just waiting for the next domino. Maybe the Secretary of Defense has a side girlfriend too.
|
Maybe but they are not William's bloodline which I thought was your point. I guess you're just talking about men in power. |
| To the person on here who rambles on and on about William being a cheater - THERE IS NOT ONE SHRED OF EVIDENCE to support this! Do you live in some fictional land where lies are real or is this just in your head? |
I live in the land where the Palace lied every single day for two decades about the Prince of Wales having a relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles. They even tried to say she was a f**king causal acquaintance. |
Do you have PTSD from this one incident? Seems like William's relationship is a far cry from his father's who was forced to marry a 19 year old virgin he barely knew. But, yes, so many similarities! Like father like son.
