Which is more prestigious, DD is aiming for business. Is a BSBA better than a BBA or does it not matter...

This question is going to bring out the worst of the Emory moms/trolls, who can't seem to get over the fact that their kids are at a second tier school.

Define second tier? I dont see how thats an insult. To me second tier includes some ivys like Cornell and Dartmouth. Along with Vanderbilt, Georgetown and others great schools.

You might be well served researching the specific discipline, recruiting firms, and desired living geography to find your answer.

With dozens of tiers below them. Super impressive schools. But they bring out the pompous losers here who think they are snobs but likely have zero affiliation with first tier schools as people who went to those schools generally have class (but not always).

Good luck - great choice. You can't go wrong - I don't think there is a huge difference so it is more about where your kid is more comfortable. I would choose Emory over WashU but totally understand someone choosing otherwise and it is a close call. Just prefer Atlanta and the general vibe of the school.

Anyone who replies with a strong opinion of one over the other is also full of it so ignore them. It is a nuanced choice.

For now I think they're equally prestigious but I think Emory will pass WashU soon. WashUs apps seem to be stagnant or declining while Emory receives over 40k aps now. Emory already has a lower acceptance rate 10%vs 12% as pf 2 years ago, the gap should increase. And the SAT score gap should decrease with it.

Here is the Emory troll who would relentlessly prop up the school. The same arguments in every thread involving Emory.

I don’t believe you could be choosing from among two programs that are more evenly regarded.

My DD hasn't even applied yet. No clue what you're talking about. Sorry, facts hurt your feelings. If Emory's acceptance rate drops to 7%, then that puts it in the Vandy/Rice/ Northwestern / Cornell group. If WashU goes from 12% to 14% because apps declined, then suddenly, WashU is 2x easier to get into.

Emory's acceptance rate last year was 14%. So a giant IF. But a desperate Emory mom can hope, can't she?

Same school, different parts of the country. Can’t go wrong with either one. It really comes down to personal preference.
