Why are so few criticizing Trump on Iran?

Anonymous
It seems to me that the Iran debacle is Trump’s biggest blunder of all time. And that’s for a President who has made his fair share of big blunders.

Usually the left and the media are very quick to criticize Trump for anything and everything. Yet on this one, they are virtually silent.

There is plenty of analysis of the negative effects of the war, yes, but no real criticism of Trump’s decision to initiate it. There was far more criticism of his Venezuelan invasion.

Why? Very little criticism from Democratic politicians, from the media, and on down to the Liberals I follow on social media who hate Trump the most. They’re all silent.

I see a ton of criticism. Should there be more? Sure, but it’s out there. The problem with constant evil incompetence is that there is a lot to go around.

I would say Iran his one of the biggest blunders and not "the one". Competing biggest blunders are: COVID Pandemic handling, January 6th Insurrection, Blackmailing Ukraine, Epstein File handling and now Iran War.

OK, fair enough, but Democrats were literally rabid on all of those issues, and are much quieter on this one. The silence is deafening. What gives?!

By and large, cable and network news is very pro-Israel and that is clearly impacting how they are covering this debacle. I agree that mainstream news is not doing a sufficient job covering what is a historic disaster.

Can you please provide some cites for the strongest criticism yoy have seen in mainstream media? Because I’m not seeing much.

I agree that this is his biggest. It can overturn the existing world order. I think journalists get it. It's so big everyone's just thinking 'oh f---k' and hoping he can pull it off, because the alternative is... I'm too afraid to write it.

This. It is by design. Just think about who owns CBS?

Also they are censoring just how bad the damage is on the US side.

This is way bigger vs Benghazi or Afghanistan. Republicans can not raise money on the deaths of American servicemen when Trump is the president.

Trump could lose a 100,000 Americans and the republicans would be silent.

Of course the Republicans would be silent. But where are the Democrats on this?

Below the surface and mainstream media there is a lot of concerns and criticism of Trump, the war, defense industry and weapon systems. The US has lost this war.

There is really nothing that compares to the Republican media - Fox News, X, NYpost, WSJ, NYT and the countless influencers. MS now is all the old neocons and pro Israeli cheerleaders that use to be republicans. So they are going to down play a lot of stuff.

You're expecting Schumer to be critical of this? You'll be waiting a long time. The same goes for a lot of Democratic lawmakers.

It's like being in a car when with a drunk driver. Do you want to distract him or just get home safely?

They are scared to not support the troops. Just like in 1991 and ever other war. They will support all funding request and say what a great job the troops are doing after double tapping shipwrecked survivors.

But why? Maybe Schumer is personally pro Israel, but all the Dems?
