Hello,
I would like to put my daughter on the best girl's academy/travel team for the next upcoming season. Can you please list the best girl's team for the U11 age group (including the coach's name and credentials)? This will help me decide on which tryouts to select. Thanks! |
| All current u-10 teams will look very different next year because of the age change so I am not sure if anyone will have an answer. |
good point. Maybe use the current 2016 girls teams as a reference? |
| The team where your kid has fun, has friends, and you like the coach. She's 10 y.o. Learning technical skills, getting touches, and enjoying the game far more important than winning at that age. |
THIS. There is no reason to try to put your kid on the "best" team at this age. |
| SYC, Arlington or VSA |
| Bethesda |
| SYC, BSC |

JUST. GO. TO. THE. TRYOUTS. IN. YOUR. AREA. AND. SEE. WHICH. ONE. SHE. LIKES. THE. BEST. SHE. IS. A. BABY. AT. 2016.

Download the rankings app. All of the information you need. Huge mistake taking this approach though. Good luck! |
| Anywhere but McLean and st james those are easily the two worst both for soccer and atmosphere. They’re indistinguishable. |
| I’d look into Arlington! Top girls program in the area |

| What is near you? Find a coach she likes who can challenge her and kids she enjoys. A 2016 player is a child. Despite current appearances she may hate soccer in two years especially you make this YOUR mission in HER life which may not be the case, but consider that seriously. Is she happy where she is? I've seen parents drive the kid away from the game because they used too hard. It's not uncommon. |
| There is no absolute best as others have pointed out. There's the best for your current situation. |
