| He’s very handsome, he has great range, and he can appeal to middle America - why does he seem perpetually B list and not like a true “movie star.” He’s just as good as a Leo DiCaprio or Ryan Gosling. Why isn’t he bigger? |
| He's missing that intangible "it" factor and charisma the others have. |

I think his downfall started after he dated Taylor Swift. He got a reputation as a groomer/predator because of the age difference (30 and 20), stood her up for her 21st birthday, etc.
He was cute, but women really don't like a male celebrity who behaves that way. Ryan Gosling seems like a good guy who treats women well. Leo DiCaprio, well, he's a creep. But men like him for whatever reason. Jake is too feminine to be liked by men. |
| He does not have a great range. He tends to play awkward men well. |
Sorry, I'm mixing him up with Toby Mcguire |
I just remember all the rumors that he was gay and all those women were beards. Who really knows though. |

I don't agree that he's B list. He's very famous, he's continually in the media and often nominated for awards (although he doesn't win that often).
But, I have to say that none of his films appeal to me personally. I think he picks pretty serious or thriller type movies in mostly contemporary settings, while mega-stars are in a broader range of films (comedy, romance, historical, etc) so more people are likely to have seen something with that mega-star in it. |
| He didn’t give Taylor her scarf back. |
He was in Brokeback Mountain. He gave a great and convincing performance. Unfortunately, I also think that wonderful and convincing performance became a mental block for a lot of women to see him in a different way. |
| He's not handsome. |
it's in the drawer at his sister's house. though Maggie denies it |
Counterpoint: Heath Ledger |

Because he got lost in translation. We were asking too much. The thing was a masterpiece but he tore it all up.
|
| You mean like Charlie Puth? |
then he broke her like a promise. so casually cruel in the name of being honest |
