Abolish Boundary Maps Fairfax

Anonymous
Since very few are happy with boundary maps why not abolish them entirely in Fairfax?

Sounds like a logistical nightmare

The premise of your post is false.

Most people are fine with the boundaries and unhappy with boundary changes or boundary studies, for a host of valid reasons.

Try to stir a different pot next time.

You don’t know that, you only know what’s being said in your echo chamber. There are people that would be interested in a different approach entirely.

Next time don’t accuse people of pot stirring just because you disagree.

There has been zero backlash about the boundary change at our school.

How can you be sure. Even if you somehow spoke to every family that’s just one school of many.

Yes, unhappy about potential boundary changes and OK with the ones actually adopted, which are quite different. Should have been more precise.

But OP is proposing open boundaries or a lottery system, which ain't happening in this county.

And so, so stupid.

What if you “lost” the lottery, OP?

And a nightmare from a transportation perspective.

You stand up and do what’s right.

The county is huge. No boundaries is an absolutely stupid idea. It would als decimate housing prices as people who want to count on a good school option for other counties using normal systems still.
