Summer after senior year - what do kids do in this window?

Hi, I have a HS senior and I am wondering what kids typically do the summer before college? Just get a normal job or prep in their area of interest? I feel like we have no plan as of yet...

Forgot to note into college ED, so there is no college stress right now.

Get into just the right amount of trouble and have just enough friend drama that September is a good break. All of this wrapped with nostalgia making. All good things.

Mine made as much money as they could, road-tripped to New England with friends and travelled to Europe with other friends. It goes by very quickly.

Family vacation then work. My kids need money for during the school year.

We went on a longer than normal family vacation. She also spent time with grandparents and friends. No need to prep for anything.

Prep in their area of interest? Good lord, just let your kid have this time to sleep in and stay up late and hang out with friends and just be normal teens.

Mine had a part time job, went on a road trip with friends, family vacation, and lots of time just hanging out with high school friends.
