| Neighbor kept having kids until she had a girl and complains about how many kids she has….how expensive it is… |
| Yeah this happens across time and space |
| Thank you for sharing! |
| Her kids, her problem. |
| Ok, I guess. Are they on welfare? |
Yes. I’m the youngest and the only girl, born after seven boys. My oldest brother is 18 years older than me, and the brother closest in age is five years older. My parents originally planned to have three kids, but they kept trying for a girl. After seven boys, they decided to stop and gave up on the idea of ever having a daughter. They were both pretty heartbroken about it. Then, when my youngest brother was five, they decided to try one more time — and that’s when I came along. They were overjoyed, and honestly, we had a really great childhood, very spoiled, no complaining or regret. |
| My grandparents kept having kids to get a second boy, and they stopped at my mother, who was the seventh kid, and still a dratted girl! |
| My parents did that |

Ha. I knew a family growing up that did this. Three boys and they finally had a girl. They were so psyched. Dolls and pink and French braids. They were stretched thin time wise but seemed happy.
Then they had an oops fifth. A boy! |
| My best friend’s dad is the youngest of 10, first boy, then they were done |
| My grandparents had 5 girls before having a boy, my dad. They stopped having kids after that. |

I feel so grateful I had both genders- girl, boy, girl. I’m sure I would have had up to 5 to have a girl. 3 was what we wanted though. Stupid, but I don’t think my life would have been complete without a girl. I just had so much I wanted to share with my daughters!
That being said, I love my son a lot too. I’m glad I didn’t only have girls because I find women who only had girls to be out of touch. |
