🤢

"Producing raw milk takes careful planning from a facility and infrastructure standpoint. Unfortunately, we learned this after the fact. The way our dairy was built is ideal for pasteurized dairy products.”

So they did little to no research before selling RAW MILK. Gross.

I’m actually shocked their PR people let them release that statement. obviously saying it’s unfortunate and an apology is warranted, but saying that you didn’t realize it took careful planning and infrastructure… feel like that just opened them up for a lawsuit.

I don’t understand how you cannot know that - I’ve had friends who tried to do local baking small businesses - there are a ton of requirements to sell food beyond like a bake sale. It’s heavily regulated.

That statement was absolutely baffling to me.

I think the PR people must have done the release (right? that's how it works?) and the lawyers weren't consulted. It's batshit.

+2. Right?! There are rules and regulations around producing food products for a reason. Who knew?

It’s insane to sell/consume raw milk and it’s an insane statement to release. These people don’t seem to be the brightest so it’s so not exactly surprising.

It’s so typical. Talk about how everything must be pure and free from scientific tampering.

Without having the brains to realize that a lot of that science has been keeping us safe from things that used to kill us 100 years ago.

Yes. I mean, they could just pasturize it and get rid of the bacteria. Problem solved.

My grandmother grew up on a rural dairy farm and when she was very young she caught TB of the bones from drinking milk from infected cows. Yes, tuberculosis. It damaged her spine and she had pain from it her whole life.

I am shocked. SHOCKED, I say!

Next you'll tell me that eating raw chicken could make me sick too??

Literally just heat the freaking milk. Is there even that much of a benefit from drinking it raw? I feel like that is a high risk/ low reward situation.

I don't get it either. You can always have non-homogenized milk if you want the texture of raw milk. So weird.
