| Specifically coke. College grad, great job at a great company in the early career program with year long mentoring, etc etc, living in a major city independently, their friends are in the same industry or finance/ib/private equity or consulting (MBB) - I guess they all do it - that’s what I learned hanging out with them last night. Not sure I can DO anything. They all said It’s Fine We’ve Got It On Check. Uggggghhh. Anyone BTDT. Do the kids give it up eventually? |
How do you think the rich guys start touching children and eating babies? It starts from this kind of deviant behavior. |
|
It’s all “fine” until they try to stop and they can’t.
Rich people drugs are still drugs. |
You sound unwell. |
| Um yeah, I would make very clear that I do not agree with this and that he needs to stop. And if you are giving him any money at all - phone, health insurance, car, flights home -etc. - cut that off. Now. |
| At some point you might want to check out AlAnon for you. In my group over half of the attendees have family members using drugs (not alcohol.) |
| Look I experimented in my youth but today’s coke could be mixed with fentanyl. This is really dangerous. |
| Weekend warriors need to use test strips, too. |
Go away, pedo!! |
+1 |

Yet another reason those industries are trash and it’s depressing how many bright college graduates end up there.
I would be very worried if I were you, OP. But there’s nothing you can do besides express your disapproval and explain the dangers. |
| Finance/IB/Consulting guys do LOTS of coke. Is this news to you? At least it's not as crazy as it was back in the 80s |
Check yourself into a mental health facility pronto. |
| There's something...scum baggish about people who do coke. A burn out pot head is less trashy, imo. Weird that he would "recreationally" use hard drugs. I assume he is drinking, too. |
| I don’t think cocaine use is normal or common. It is high-risk in general for several reasons, but as PP said, it can be laced with fentanyl, which is deadly. |
