nothing. Maybe I’m too tuned in- I’m a news junkie- but I’m obsessed. But these group chats are discussing random stuff - Larla got into X college, does anyone want to meet up to go antique’ing?, happy birthday to Larlo! Etc.

Are we like people in the Weimar Republic who went about their daily lives as their country was taken over by nazis?

Text and email are just used to plan logistics and exhchange idle memes, unless for business. No one has serious discussions by text or email.

Then her issue is her friends don't care and don't do anything, it's not about what they post online. That part is just bullshit signaling.

I don't know, why do you think?

I know my friends care about Trump and his crew. I'm not worried about that. It sounds like you are. Why?

The ones I know who avoid the topic are MAGA. And they suddenly only want to “focus only on positive” things. Or cuts complete ignorance— “never heard about that” news item about Trump being cruel.
