It's the beginning of FEBRUARY.

Have you met any soccer coaches? Some are going to leave for a white collar job that pays 7 times what they are making coaching, some are going to marry their sweatheaet and move somewhere else, some are going to give it one last shot to make it in Europe, and some are going to go surf in Tahiti.

So no, they can't tell you who will be coaching what next August, 6 months from now. And if they did, several would probably change due to (fill in the blank reason), and you'd be mad that they gave you misinformation

Haha nice rant. The reality is even if ID sessions begin on February 1st or May 1st clubs know they need to release a coaching line up before players will accept an offer. This isn’t new. And yes they do remain the same (or mostly the same) 6 months from now.

You’re missing the point entirely. These clubs operate in a competitive market for players and fees, with other organizations actively recruiting their players. It therefore behooves them to let families know who the coach will be for the coming year, sooner rather than later. I’m curious myself, but that’s not what prompted my question. This is a business issue for the clubs, plain and simple. Your humorous babble about the possible whereabouts of a fictional coach couldn’t be less relevant.

If your kid matters to the club you would a. Already been told who the coach is on the low; or b. It doesn't mattter cause your kid is a baller and who your club coach is, should be irrelevant! If you can't answer one these affirmatively, then have a seat, take you panties out of your butt, and relax its the first week of Feb.

Considering all the incompetent, drunk, mentally ill, looking-for-bribes, and unqualified coaches we have in the DC area, this is patently untrue. The coach is the *most important* factor in the decision. Way more important that the badge.
