It will be on RMSC website.

Usually no sooner than a week out.

Is the prelims 500 on Thursday or Friday afternoon? Friday, right? Does anyone remember what time it usually starts? Is it usually alternating boys/girls heats? And fastest to slowest? I need to plan to leave work early

Thursday- diving
Friday - 500 free and 400 free relay prelims

If I remember correctly, circle seeded 500s, boys first. I don’t think warmups were much earlier than 4p. 500 starting at 5p.

It's an invite only HS "multi-team" meet for schools in DC/MD. It's really just a multi-team MPSSAA meet, but because of the wide area it covers it's VERY fast on par with MPSSAA State's. It counts as one of their 10 meets per NFHS/MPSSAA rules.

Generally, yes. Sometimes, there will be a swimmer or two from really small teams. There are qualifying times for the meet.

Take a look at last year's results - https://pvswim.org/hsresults25.html

Other schools that have been represented in the past I don't think I saw on 2025 are WCA and Sandy Spring.

Just to add what the above two posters have said, there are a bunch of VHSL/MPSSAA "multi-team" meets in our area that are often called "championships" but technically are not. The only true HS championship meets per NFHS are the VHSL and MPSSAA (and whatever DC is) State championship meets (one meet for each size groupings of HS). These multi-team are just plain old NFHS multi-team meets. However, they cover a lot of highschools and are typically fast. They are often "observed" by USA swimming so the times count as official USA swimming times. You can see a list of the observed meets, depending on where the meet was physically located, at each of our local USA Swimming LSC websites:

MD Swim: https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/md/page/system/res/210814
PVS: https://www.pvswim.org/hsresults.html
VA Swim: https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/va/page/meets/high-school

So if you child's school doesn't get an invite to "Metros", it could be invited to one of the many other invitational HS meets that exist or your HS could get an invite to one of the other meets if your coach asked.

On Meet Mobile now.

At Fairland which is unfortunate. Its nice for sure, and parking is less hassle, but the spectator area is not nearly as large as UMd where this has been for the past 3 years. Just WCAC was packed at Fairland last week. Now add 3-4x the teams and repeat.

Need to tighten up some of these standards. Especially relays. If the Std is 1:42.99 and some teams are entering at 1:24....8 under 1:28...
