| My son went through puberty at 12 and had a huge growth spurt between then and 14, but now at 15 hasn’t grown at all in the last year. He’s just under 5’8. Any chance he will still grow a little or have a second small spurt? Doctor seemed to think he’s done. I’m just under 5’4 and his dad is 6’1. |
| How hairy is he? I feel like my 15 year old might still grow because he isn’t super hairy yet. |
| My DH shot up as a senior in HS. He is 6'4" now. |
| My son had a 9 month pause at 14-15. He is now growing again, almost 16, albeit more slowly. And he has passed the height projected by he basic prediction calculator. Sleep, exercise and protein. Not sure they help, but they certainly don’t hurt. |
I think there's something to this. Not sure of it's true but my son with more facial hair seems to have stopped growing but my my other that seems to be on the later side keeps going in spurts with lags between. |
| Every child has his/her own growth pattern. There is wide variation in both final height and growth pattern from one child to another even with the same parents. |

Most likely done or almost done, if he hasn’t grown at all for a year. Just took more after your height than dad’s. One of our sons is tall (like dad) and the other is average (like me).
But impossible to say. Kids all grow differently. |
| I know a guy was 4' 10" at age 14, and he ends up with 6' 3". |
There’s nothing to it. They are not genetically related. Certain Asian ethnicities have little body hair, Persians can be hairy. But not related to puberty. |
| my son had a similar growth spurt which stopped but then he inched up little by little to be 5'11" |
| My DS grew in college. |
| My son’s growth trajectory has been pretty similar (most growth between 12 and 14. We just went in for his 16yo appt (actually 16.5) and they saud he grew half an inch which surprised both of us. Not 100% sure it’s true but doctor said seems he’s still growing a bit. |
| My almost 16 year old DS has had the same growth pattern. We think he's done growing at just under 5'8". It's slightly shorter than his dad (and much shorter than his enormous feet would suggest) but it's a fine height. |
| It would be very rare for a boy to stop growing at 15. Most grow until at least 17, and some even still grow at college |
NP here. I thought the upward growth tended to stop around 16 and then they work on filling out? |
