| Anyone watching? Would love recs before I give it a try. Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson are the leads, which is a draw. |
| Binged it—it’s like a slightly sexier version of one of those Harlan Coben shows—a little ridiculous at times but totally kept me watching |
| Thanks. Sounds good to me, I'm in! |
| I just watched episode two on the treadmill and it is definitely holding my attention while exercising, which is kind of a high bar for me. |
| I just binged it. Loved it. And what an ending. Brilliantly done. |
| I'm 3 episodes in and enjoying it. I'm going to watch a couple more episodes tonight. |
| Binged it. Loved it. |
| Binged it. Loved it also. |
| Also binged it. I really enjoyed it. Love that it was only 6 episodes too. Ive watched a few 8 episode series recently and they really start to drag... |
| Absolutely terrible. Really bad. Poorly acted, ridiculous ending, and nonsensical decision-making by the characters. I regret watching it. |
Minority opinion |
Completely agree! This was absolutely awful. Especially the last episode. |

Questions:
- why in the first episode was Anna’s apartment completely trashed? Was that due to her deep depression or something else? - why did both her mother and Jack say she had “disappeared” since Charlotte died when it seemed she was just living in her Atlanta apartment? -why didn’t Anna tell Jack that SHE was the one who was raped and not Catherine? This was entertaining enough but pretty mediocre. So many dumb red herrings. I can’t stand Jon Bernthal’s fake hokey southern accent. |

*****SPOILERS******
Wow, I really hated this series. Was always intrigued by the Harlan Coben-type shows because I love a true crime mystery and Netflix recommends them to me- but this was truly terrible. I hated how every character was awful and you didn't want to root for anyone. I hated how the investigation seemed almost cartoonishly babyish-- the fact that the sherrif/officers were even considering Jack's POV when he was saying "just because the two women who died were friends since high school and had their friendship bracelets in their mouths does not mean the other two good friends in the group have ANYTHING to do with this!!!" And it's like they almost believed him and they had to be won over by his partner Priya. I know small town police mindset is a thing but that was unbelievable. I saw that Lexy was Catherine from a mile away. Halfway through the series I thought Alice was faking and she's the killer. Maybe Anna blocked out what happened to her as a teen, I guess.... but was it ever explained why Richard the cameraman had those weird supplies? Why did he freak out when Anna was on the phone at the lake house? I hated the pacing. I hate when there's a dark subject matter (because it can be depressing!) and it's not even worth it because the story is not smart and intriguing. |
