can anyone give a summary (based on facts) of whats going? sorry, got tired of flipping through pages. |
I know a few as well. What is interesting is how little any of them have been told about the new league in general. Like next to nothing. They don't even know what to call it! Both run large clubs where MLSN2 will be their top teams on the boys side. The entire rest of the club will be SY so they said that MLSN2 better be SY... |
I don’t think I could watch wrestling every weekend even if it’s only $100/month |
USYS and USCS decided at the end of this February to change the age brackets for all of their clubs/teams to school year (Sept 1-Aug 31) beginning in the fall of 2026. Everything else in these 872 pages (so far) is people's opinions about changing from BY to SY - and/or irrelevant topics. |
So do we know when the new rules for 25/26 will be released for ECNL?? |
This type of attitude will be the reason we won't get to 1000. I need more useless banter, people. |
This is the energy we need. If we could get reports from every parent about whether or not their kids teams seem to be favoring Q4 kids or not that will get us there! |
Gotta wait for the afternoon glass of wine to kick in bro. |
This benefits my kid greatly. Biggest questions are: What does GA do, can she continue to play with BY or do they move her down to down to dominate you Q1 underachievers |
1000 is next month. The real question is 2000 by Fall 26. I give it even money. |
I looks like the last set of rules for 24/25 were set in Sept 2023. Not sure when the news ones for 25/26 will be set but it appear they are overdue! |
lol this is true tournament are all day also. I will say with wrestling you definitely get every coach wanting to help your kid improve. It’s a drastically different culture than soccer. |
Announcement in May/June rules in July. |
Who’s ready for the big ECNL bombshell!?
Coming Fall 26. My trusted source who told me all about the age group change since last spring. Said ECNL is more than likely going to have U13-16 go off of 9/1 cut off for league play and showcases. U17/18 would be based of grad year for showcases. The problem they are finding is because of COVID many kids were held back or started school late and also many July/Aug kids would be ineligible to play club their senior year due to a 9/1 curt off. Starting Fall 27 U13-15 9/1 cut off. U16-18 league play and showcases will be grad year. They see grad year as a way to better align with college recruiting and allow kids still in high school to play but not being able to be the older kid until their sophomore year. ECNL should be announcing something in the next month or so about their plan to align with the greater majority. But the grad year stuff is being discussed in the back of the room. The way back and will be sent out June 26. |
Switching to a 9/1 cutoff in the fall of 2026 flat out isn't bombshell. ECNL had no choice, because USCS decided that for them at the end of February. If you had said fall 2025, that would be a bombshell. |
