What are your New Year’s resolutions?

I’m pretty growth oriented but do see the new year as a unique opportunity to set hard goals. I have a good feeling about 2026!

My goals:
-stay sober
-give losing the baby weight my all - I’m still 30 pounds up from my norm and my “baby” is nearly 3 :wah:
-get out of credit card debt

What are yours??

Mine is simple so far

Not have it be 2025 anymore

It’s not just public stuff, it’s also private stuff, this whole year has been not quite a denouement of life but a harbinger of my possibly being OK if it is

At least I didn’t waste any of the last times of my life doing stuff I did not want to do at all

I’m having white wine and air fryer buffalo wings tonight while watching the Big C on Netflix. Thaw and pat your wings and arrange them 380 for 30 mins

I'm continuing the "don't tell people 'you should' when talking with them" one.

Also, read for a half hour minimum, every day.

4) work on healthier coping strategies

Continue to work out and lose weight, paint and read more, less social media, travel where I actually want to go, try to detach a bit more from the world and focus on just my circle and what’s good.

Every year I resolve to make a new friend. I've managed to do this for about 7 years now.

Last year I have two resolutions
1) declutter at least one item a day. I did this over 320 days, so I feel pretty good about it.
2) work out at least two days a week. I did this every week except the one week I got the flu.

For 2026 my resolutions are:
1) run a 10k for the first time ever
2) every week reach out to a different friend I haven’t been in contact with recently
