| How it is trash? My college freshman ds talks about it all the time so I downloaded it too. It is very interesting and helpful for the kids IMO. |

People are anonymous on it but generally helpful and supportive. Some posts are questions about professors or classes or clubs, some are people venting or looking for support, some are funny observations, etc. It is interesting to me as a parent to get insight. And it is my alma mater so that is half of what interests me. My oldest is a senior at a different college so I don't have that YY. It could be different but also it would feel creepier to me as a parent since I didn't even go there and he is a senior. I do have SOME boundaries. Ha! |

The only gossip or badmouthing I have seen is between/about different greek houses and it is stupid. I have never seen personal bullying or anything like that. But this is a large state flagship. Could be different at smaller schools. |

My friend's daughter was so badly bullied on yik yak following rush that she had to transfer schools. People are ruthlessly mean when they can be anonymous. |
