| With digital coupon, rib roasts are $6.77 a pound at Giant this week. I prefer the strip loin roasts, and with the digital coupon, they are $7.99 a pound. I bought 2 today. |

I’m generally a food snob, but i’ve been burned on expensive standing rib roasts (i’m looking at you, Organic Butcher in Mclean). Spent a criminal amount and it was flavorless. I gotta say the Giant standing rib roosts i’ve learned are really good. I always fill my freezer with about 5 of them when they go on sale after the holidays. I’m actually popping one on the rotisserie over wood tomorrow night, I’ve had it dry brining in my fridge for the last 2 nights with a garlic, herb and salt crust. sill have that on the rotisserie for a couple of hours and let me tell you, it always turns out incredible : |

We just got a rib roast from Harris Teeter and it was very good. We did this recipe with the "crispy exterior" option and also added a teaspoon of rosemary to the spice mix.
