You do not know that. Adoptive parents are not perfect. It could also be that the siblings never even get to know each other. The adoption is closed, not open |
They have an open adoption and they do get to see Carly. Carly and Nova have met so I am sure she will get to know her new biological sibling as well. |
I get the sense that Carly's adoptive parents are middle to upper middle class, based on how they have presented on previous episodes of teen mom. They have limited Tyler and Cate's interactions/media attention because they want Carly to grow up in a normal stable environment. They are making intelligent decisions on Carly's behalf and I do think she will have many more opportunities and a much more grounded childhood then Tyler and Cate's kids will have. |
I believe they have for a 2 year period without seeing Carlie So in that sense the adoption is closed |
That’s not what closed adoption means. |
I do not think that Tyler and Catelynn are stupid and have low IQs. I think they grew up in crappy households and don’t know any better. I think Carly will be fine. You can take Tyler and Catelynn’s genes, combine them with an UMC household, books, preschool, educated parents and end up with a smart child. I would worry about the genetic disposition to drugs, though. But hopefully Carly is aware of that as she grows and stays far, far away. |
That's kind of the catch-22, though. If Cate and Tyler didn't do the show, then things would probably be worse because not only would they have grown up in a world of dysfunction, but they wouldn't have as many resources to confront that dysfunction or have as many opportunities to see more functional people and situations. |
They went a long period of time without seeing her (maybe 2 years) but have seen her since. The adoption didn't become closed. |
Bristol Palin looks like she's in her upper 30s. Is it fillers and Botox? |
I don't think she looks that old but she has obvi had some type of work done on her face. She admitted a "non-cosmetic" chin surgery in 2011 to correct an overbite or something.. except it looks like a chin implant to me. DH walked in the room when I was watching and said "why is Jessica Biel on teen mom?" lol |
o/t - Did JB not vaccinate? I vaguely recall something like that. |
I feel really bad for Bristol. Her husband paints her as an unsupportive wife, which is really unfair to her. His PTSD and anxiety cause him to be verbally abusive to her and he generally creates a lousy living environment for the family. At some point he needs to realize that his behavior is toxic, regardless of what caused it. |
I don't feel bad for her. She chose to get involved with a guy in the military. Everyone knows the possibilities for how someone in the military may come back from that. She chose him. |
I can't stand Cheyenne - she seems super immature, dramatic, and demanding, anyone else?
For example, how she over reacted at her mom's pool party both to what her father said before hearing him out, and to her BF's friend. It felt like she was creating way more drama than necessary, and needs to bring everyone in on her drama and didn't want to hear it from anyone that wasn't totally supportive of her over reaction. no thanks! so far i feel like she is a really bad addition to the cast. Bristol Palin, i don't love - but the dynamics of her and her husband's split will be interesting. I feel for both of them. |
+1 She was a poor choice to select for the show. And she was never a Teen Mom so why is she on a show staring people who had babies as teens? |
