This is common sense. Other countries with strong gun control don’t need armed guards at schools because there aren’t guns.

I actually don’t think that’s true, they said that initially but then recanted.

But I wonder if the armed guard at PPs workplace would actually protect her if faced with an armed shooter. I know they’re highly trained, but unless they’re secret service (which is a possibility, but also a bit misleading of the PP if so) I don’t know that I have full confidence that they would do much to stop a shooter. I mean, there are armed guards at my federal building too and they’re great. We’ve locked down before and I was glad they were there. But if someone entered the lobby with an assault rifle, well… I’m pretty sure they’re getting past the guards.
