| delays? canceled? early dismissal? |

hope not! it's weird how many threads are dedicated to the question of whether school might be delayed. has dcum been taken over by schoolchildren? |
Lol, a 50% chance of delayed opening is the least useful prediction possibly. I personally think the odds they close schools are extremely slim unless the forecast changes considerably. DCPS never closes schools without at least a couple inches of accumulation, which I think is very unlikely with this one. |

Where do people get that school tracker thing? Can someone post a link?
I’m REALLY hoping this turns into nothing because I just found out my kid’s snow pants don’t fit and his new ones don’t get here until next week. If they close school for snow on Friday, I don’t know what I’ll do! |
It's made by Capital Weather Gang, the meteorologists of the Washington Post. |
But if they DID fit, we wouldn't have snow, you see. It always happens that way. You get jinxed when you buy a whole new set of snow boots, pants, sleds, etc. |
What are you smoking? This forecast is calling for snow showers in the morning on Friday. That's it. |
Umm yeah it’s calling for freezing temperatures and snow in the mornings. There’s also a special weather statement warning of icy roads and cold wind. I think that’s enough to delay or even cancel school. |
I totally agree. Some people really don’t think 🙄. It’s not necessarily the amount of snow but the ice risk. Many kids drive or take the bus to school so it’s dangerous especially in the morning when there’s a lot of cars and risk of car crashes. |
it's not dangerous. at all. just because ice exists doesn't mean anyone is going to crash. people around here search for reasons to cancel school. |
Black ice is extremely dangerous. I bet your one of those drivers that acts all carelessly and goes wayyy too fast |
Relax, people. Not even DC would cancel school for 1/4 inch of snow.
|
Huh, well I guess we will see tonight/tomorrow because I disagree completly. |
Gosh, some people really don't know how to read. As pp stated above its not the snow itself its the ice. I would advice you to look at the news, specifically the Washington post that has posted two articles related to this. Oh, and maybe look at the weather app. |
