I feel like those parents should have looked into Carpenter and listened to some of her music/watched her videos before taking young kids to that show? She's very campy but a lot of her songs have highly sexualized lyrics. It's not a secret.
It's the same with Olivia Rodrigo. Yes she's young (but not a child), but she swears in her music a lot and sings about sex and mature subjects. I feel like the Eras tour made people forget that most pop concerts are not appropriate for kids. Historically it's not. Like I wasn't going to Madonna concerts at age 8. People weren't taking little kids to Britney or Christina Aguilera either. Hannah Montana was kid-friendly; Miley has never been. Even Taylor isn't kid-friendly all the time either -- her new albums is raunchy at points. |
| Eh, she’s not making music for little kids. If they’ve seen her latest album cover, they should know what they’re in for. |
| I don't really feel bad for them? She's literally known for doing a different sex position on stage every night. What did they think this was, a Raffi reboot? |
+1. Taylor Swift was like Disney music and parents who don't know current music must have thought all music is like that these days. |
| Why would you take your kids to a Sabrina Carpenter concert? This is a classic case of clueless, lazy parenting. |
| Those tickets are hard to get. Surprised someone would take that time and spend that money and not know how highly sexualized her music is. |
| I thought we were going to see the outline of a penis. 😂 That was nothing! |
I know, it was like two seconds long. Big deal. |
| parenting fail |
| If they had just listened to her lyrics beforehand they could’ve avoided this situation. |
or glanced at her album cover |
| Some parents are just too stupid to be parents. |
| I'm actually surprised there isn't a ratings system for shows like for movies and albums. |
Her latest single is about getting so wet that "tears" run down her thighs. She is most known for performing a song about wanting to get pregnant where she does a different lewd position on stage every night. What ratings system could you possibly need for this???? |
