Judge James Boasberg Impeachment

Anonymous
Congressman Gill filed articles of Impeachment this week against DC district Judge Boasberg. There is bicameral support for this act, as Boasberg allowed Jack Smith to tap the phones of 8 members of the Senate and House. He even directed the phone companies not to disclose the unlawful tapping. This man is an authoritarian who needs to go.

The legislators' phones were not tapped. That is misinformation. Go back to your sources and reconfirm your understanding or find new sources.

What specific law did he violate?

Gill won’t be around long. That seat will flip to Dem in November.

I practiced in front of Boasberg when he was in the DC Superior Court bench. He was appointed by George W. He was always fair and impartial, but he always leaned slightly right in favor of the government. This is a witch hunt against this man. Why anyone would want to be a judge in this environment is crazy.

Boasberg, appointed by Obama, issued a gag order against AT&T, which prevented AT&T from informing the Senate it was being spied on, was itself illegal and a blatant violation of 2 U.S.C., which requires the Senate to be given notice of collection of its data or communications.

That same law also REQUIRES courts to quash subpoenas demanding collection of Senate data upon a motion by the Senate, which is exactly why James Boasberg issued his illegal gag order: he knew the Senate would have IMMEDIATELY gone to court to nuke the Biden administration’s illegal spying against at least eight U.S. senators.

It is clear Boasberg was engaged in a lengthy conspiracy to defraud the U.S., and that he did so deliberately and with malice. His blatantly illegal gag order exposes the entire scheme.

Boasberg should obviously be impeached. But he should also be indicted, arrested, convicted, and imprisoned.

Justice will be served, one way or another.

Well, if we are going to get into impeaching judges for lying, then lets just cut to the chase with respect to those who testified that Roe was settled law and those who are openly taking bribes from billionaires.

That would impeach Robert, Kavanaugh, Alito, Gorsuch, Barrett and Thomas.

You are clearly misinformed. Boasberg was appointed on May 13, 2002 when George W. Bush was president:

https://georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news/nominations/134.html

Nothing that Boasberg did was illegal. The same thing has been done in countless other cases. If you don't like the law, try to change the law. Getting rid of the judge will just mean that the same activities get authorized by other judges.

Boasberg’s gag order is a blatant violation of federal law (2 U.S.C. 6228), which explicitly bans gag orders on collection of Senate data and communications.

Boasberg was appointed to his current job by Obama in 2011. There is a huge difference between a US District Judge and a local superior judge...

From Liberal wiki...

James Emanuel "Jeb" Boasberg (born 1963)[1] is an American lawyer and jurist serving as the chief judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. He was appointed in 2011 by President Barack Obama and was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Boasberg previously served as a judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, having been appointed by President George W. Bush.[2]

Guess who was president? It was Biden. It wasn't Obama.

"Between 2017 and 2020, DOJ issued compulsory process to obtain non-content communications records of Members of Congress, congressional staffers, and reporters at CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post to attempt to identify the sources of leaked classified information that had been published in news articles in 2017. DOJ also obtained non-disclosure orders (NDOs) that prevented the Members of Congress, congressional staffers, reporters, and newsroom leadership from learning about the use of some of the compulsory process to seek these records."

Now ry to distinguish between what Jack Smith lawfully did aand what the unnamed president in the above nonsense did.

I believe the above post is supposed to say "It wasn't Biden" because Trump was president at that time.

Between 2017 and 2020 - it wasn't Biden and it wasn't Obama. I assume this was a typo?

Waiting for the partial DC circuit to suspend this man, but not holding my breath

Getting the specific information authorized by Boasberg was neither data nor communications. And maybe we need a rider in the law that exempts sedicious conspiracy?
