| EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!!! Wait no, its for BI3. Oops. |
| Yep. Got one too. Disappointing mistake. The level of gross incompetence in the girls lacrosse world never seizes to amaze.... |
For those that think BIC isn't directly linked to recruiting and getting looks, BIC posted the Penn St commits for 2027, 7 of them at BIC for Penn St, its like she exclusively recruited off that event. |

It is advisable to attend the recruiting prospect camps at your preferred schools in order to increase your visibility to the coaches. It is not the end if you miss out on BIC.
Make a point to participate in specific camps held on campus, as they are typically smaller and provide a more straightforward path to catching the coach's eye. |
| Are Summer BIC invites out? |
Yes, they have sent a few waves out already. |
Or the colleges ask for the kids they want to recruit. To think that they get recruited “from” the event is naive. |
| BIC is very influential in the recruiting process. Its association with Inside Lacrosse serves as a filter directing coaches to players of interest. It is an element that underpins the star rating system. Minimize its importance at your peril |
You don’t have a 2026 or 2027, or you just aren’t dialed into how recruiting works. This isn’t college football with 7/8 coaches are reviewing film and having certain geographic locations on their plate. Not being on BIC at this moment, 100% rules out certain kids going to certain schools. It sucks but it’s reality. |
I'm struggling with the math here. T20 programs alone take around 200 girls annually, and clearly not all BIC invitees are at that level. Not being invited to an event with 190 attendees can’t possibly rule anything out. By summer, rising juniors will have been seen multiple times and even attended prospect clinics on campus. While there’s likely a strong correlation, coaches definitely don’t rely solely on Deemer Class to let them know who is a good fit for their program. |
Don't feed into it. This person was on another thread as well going on and on about how you have to be at BIC to get recruited, get ranked, yada yada. BIC is the best event because it currently attracts the best players, the players are not the best players BECAUSE they go to BIC. My DD plays for a top ten club and recruiting director says VAST majority of interest comes from playing at tournaments. Now I guess BIC could seem more necessary if you're not getting good exposure at tournaments, but it's certainly not end all be all. |
1) if you think the new normal is 10 players per class you are misguided. 2) you are correct, top programs will still have spots for a few legacy kids or those where parents are donors. 3) there will be non BIC kids who get offers to top schools, we aren’t talking absolutes, we are talking majorities and trends. BTW if you are a stud, you don’t need BIC. |
Yes that was me and I did do some analysis on what was clear to me on 2027, of the top ranked 50 kids in 2027, two I could not find BIC evidence. The rest, BIC. Yes, your club director is correct, vast majority of interest comes from club tournament play, but interest does not equal offers. Some schools like Duke have interest in a few hundred kids but offer only 7-10. It all depends on what you are targeting. The influence of BIC over recruiting is undeniable though. |
The top 50 players are studs. They could’ve spent their entire rising junior summer drinking Mickey’s big mouths at the park and they would’ve been fine. BIC meant nothing for them. |
| So the people who are paid to evaluate talent for a living are so unsure of their talents that they rely on Deemer Class to do ther work? |
