Yep. Got one too. Disappointing mistake. The level of gross incompetence in the girls lacrosse world never seizes to amaze....
For those that think BIC isn't directly linked to recruiting and getting looks, BIC posted the Penn St commits for 2027, 7 of them at BIC for Penn St, its like she exclusively recruited off that event.
Or the colleges ask for the kids they want to recruit. To think that they get recruited “from” the event is naive.
You don’t have a 2026 or 2027, or you just aren’t dialed into how recruiting works. This isn’t college football with 7/8 coaches are reviewing film and having certain geographic locations on their plate. Not being on BIC at this moment, 100% rules out certain kids going to certain schools. It sucks but it’s reality.
I'm struggling with the math here. T20 programs alone take around 200 girls annually, and clearly not all BIC invitees are at that level. Not being invited to an event with 190 attendees can’t possibly rule anything out. By summer, rising juniors will have been seen multiple times and even attended prospect clinics on campus. While there’s likely a strong correlation, coaches definitely don’t rely solely on Deemer Class to let them know who is a good fit for their program.
1) if you think the new normal is 10 players per class you are misguided. 2) you are correct, top programs will still have spots for a few legacy kids or those where parents are donors. 3) there will be non BIC kids who get offers to top schools, we aren’t talking absolutes, we are talking majorities and trends. BTW if you are a stud, you don’t need BIC.
