Because it's not a "cliff" -it's a gradual decrease in the number of births - and it is unlikely to have any impact at the most selective schools, which will still get several thousand more applicants than they have space to accept. If your child is interested in attending a non-selective school, this is probably good news to you. |

We have discussed it ad nauseam, mainly to explain to morons like you that it does not exist as such - it's more like a demographic trickle.
There will not be a huge difference in college admissions in the coming years. Impact will mostly be felt for colleges that you've never heard of, that you don't want your kid to attend. Some of them will start closing. There will NEVER NOT be a lottery for the most selective colleges. So basically for most of DCUM: No change. |
