As a Democrat, it all feels hopeless.

Maybe you do need a little religion.
You are wrong about nearly everything you think might happen.

Why will religion help me if I feel this way, too?

Because you will begin to understand that while humans have free will, it is God almighty who is actually in control.

Exhibit A of crazy trump voter, and I’m Christian.

Trump has been warning about China for 40 years, and the only President who has fought them, with his tariffs. He actively worked to break the North Korea China axis. Trying to work with Putin also breaks the China Russia axis. Instead Biden has actively pushed Russia towards China. The biggest damage from Ukraine war is all the sanctions on Russia.
Pushing Russia out of the financial system. Other countries took notice and are abandoning the dollar for trade.

This is all nonsense. Trump is the first American president to meet with the North Korean leader, which strengthened Kim Jung Un’s legitimacy. Trump supported Chinese companies like Foxconn in the US and his daughter and son in law got tens of millions of dollars in patents from the Chinese. The dollar is the strongest it has ever been.

From Trump's RNC speech:

"I got along very well, North Korea, Kim Jung Un. I got along very well with him. The press hated when I said that.

“How could you get along with him?”

Well, you know, it’s nice to get along with someone who has a lot of nuclear weapons or otherwise. See, in the old days, you’d say that’s a wonderful thing. Now they say, “How can you possibly do that?”

But no, I got along with him and we stopped the missile launches from North Korea. Now, North Korea is acting up again. But when we get back, I get along with him. He’d like to see me back too. I think he misses me, if you want to know the truth."

Do you not understand Trump's version of events doesn't correspond with reality

I really hope Biden lasts until January (dislike Kamala more than Biden) and the Dem nominee is not be replaced since I want Trump to be the next President.

+1

Because any normal Dem candidate would squash Trump because Trump is terrible. Not rocket science
It would have to be a candidate who eschews the far left. So Newsome ain't it.

Is Harris? I honestly don't know how progressive or moderate she is.

Which Democrat policy do you believe most Americans love?

Only an anti religious zealot would react this way to a fairly benign and mainstream religious comment. Practice some tolerance.

I fixed your spelling error for you. You’re welcome.

I always want to ask clowns like you, if I show you the statistics, will you admit in your heart that you’re wrong? That was me being funny at your expense; Republicans don’t have the capacity to admit being wrong. But still:

The Democratic Party supports abortion rights vs the GOP supporting a total abortion ban and banning birth control. 63% of Americans think abortion should be legal in all or most cases. That’s some pretty damn broad support. https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/fact-sheet/public-opinion-on-abortion/#:~:text=While%20public%20support%20for%20legal,in%20all%20or%20most%20cases.

Biden is talking about raising taxes on the wealthy (that’s people making over $400,000 a year) while Donald is saying “we need to be nice to these guys.” Right around 60% of Americans think that corporations (or, as John Roberts calls them, “people”) and wealthy people don’t pay enough in taxes: https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/04/07/top-tax-frustrations-for-americans-the-feeling-that-some-corporations-wealthy-people-dont-pay-fair-share/

Democrats believe that climate change is real and caused by humans. Republicans think it’s fairies blowing smoke up our collective bum and also don’t ask oil companies to change anything or pay anything to fix it. 72% of Americans think climate change is real, 58% think it’s caused by humans and 77-84% of people think we should be working to stop it. https://abcnews.go.com/538/americans-climate-change-love/story?id=107027932

I could go on, but I don’t want to because Republicans never engage thoughtfully. Americans overwhelmingly support Democratic policies.

I get what you are saying but I am more optimistic. The crazy of the Trump/Vance ticket will just be too much for independents. How are they going to win the women vote? Trumps narcissistic ramblings the next few months will just remind people he is only in it for themselves. Plus R voters may get complacent if they think they have it in the bag.

It's boring to watch them go nuts because they do the same thing all the time. Same old same old "democracy is dead" because someone else was democratically elected.

They also think they win every argument by merely saying “MAGA” or “Trump.” No need for evidence or logic…just scream MAGA or TRUMP, followed up by a self-satisfied sneer.

Sounds like trump knows how to de -escalate, and negotiate .

What’s wrong with that? We need that instead of escalating tensions and sanctioning everybody we are mad at. The world has taken notice that our sanctions don’t mean squat so they’ve decided to remove themselves from even using the dollar (BRICS) and have formed their own alliance toward the East boxing us out of a global economic deal/negotiation .

How is that good?

As Obamas Sec of Defense Robert Gates said , he believes Biden’s been fundamentally wrong on virtually every foreign policy decision for the past 40 years.

I think he was right
