As a Democrat, it all feels hopeless.

^^ Forgot Japan, who has an interesting rise in men who are angry at the rising status of women while also expecting them to be housewives. I'm not suggesting they're full Andrew Tate over there, but...

The posters having tantrums about the DNC need to grow up, and give it a rest.
The DNC didn’t do this.
This is all on Joe and Jill Biden.
No one was going to challenge the sitting president. Literally you are asking dems to relinquish the only advantage going into an election where both parties are known entities: which is the power of the bully pulpit.
No democrats was going to run against the sitting president and it’s childish, ignorant wish casting to pretend it was ever an option.

I hate both these candidates and both these parties. I hate the republicans less because they actually had a primary to try and unseat douche Donald but failed.

They have more people in their party against their own candidate for years but can’t shake him.

At least they are trying.

The democrats sat around for last two year saying Biden being feeble and not up to the job was a right wing conspiracy. Now everyone sees he won’t last 4 years - probably not even 18 months if he won and no one likes his VP.

Democrats need to stop blaming everyone for their failures except themselves.

I still do not know who I am going to vote for, most likely Trump because he seems fully functional- and I do not believe the democrats bs about him turning America into 19030s Germany.

Hitler didn’t have to deal with the internet and in reality that is what runs our world now.

But even if Dems win, the Supreme Court has done so much this year to stymie any liberal policy.

Gun control ain’t happening. The environment is fked and now will be more so with the loss of Chevron. Organized religion is fully breaking down the walls between the state and itself.

What the fk? What’s to be happy about?

The RNC and DNC need to be shut down so that we can work on reducing the influence of money politics and then we can reform two major parties under proper leadership which will lead to legitimate POTUS candidates. This is the only way to put the ineptness of the Trump/Biden era behind us.

Or we can just win in November, get a better court and get rid of Citizens United.

If we were serious about winning in November, we wouldn't have supported Biden's 2nd term ambitions in the 2024 primary. We made our beds.

Any Dem not voting for Biden loses my respect. I wish be weren’t the candidate. But this is not an election between Biden and Trump. It’s about the future of the democracy. If ppl can’t see that then we’re fuxxxed anyway you shake it due to our own stupidity.

Have u ppl forgot 1/6/20? And the sh—-show that was Trumps forst presidency? We will be a laughing stock. And stuck with a wannabe fascist at the helm. This whole idea is god da—- dystopian and it’s happening for all to see. But yeah. Biden’s old. Gtfoh.

Anyone that is committed to voting for Trump or Biden at this point loses my respect. Only a bat poop idiot could look at those two people and listen to those people and think "oh my, we have presidential material here!. I'm voting for this one of these guys!". Seriously folks. Use your brains. Look at them. Listen to them. Compare them to any other president in your lifetimes. Those two as major party POTUS candidates is the biggest joke of this millennium. I can't imagine anyone with an IQ over 90 voting for them. If you disagree, please explain why and how these two are the best options we have out of 330 million Americans. Exactly.

Biden said he will serve only one term when he was campaigning in 2020.

This election will be glorious. Democrats will stay home after being fooled for so long on Biden's advanced state of health and help from the media and Republicans are charged after democrats using the legal system and federal departments to go after their lead candidate.

A spicy convention will add to the DNC's headaches. The effects on the congressional races will be wild.

If Hitler had had the internet, we’d be conversing in German right now.

NP. Biden is like a walking dead at this point. Not sure if I want to vote for a corpse. Sorry if it is harsh but he needs to retire.

You type that like it f—king means something. Go cry more about it. It doesn’t matter. He decided to run, and this is where we are.

The DNC is on the brink of losing to Donald fricking Trump for a second time. Stop making excuses for a failing private entity. We can coalesce behind a different party name with better leadership. The RNC and DNC are private entities for god's sake. They can be replaced. Instead of replacing them, many idiots keep rewarding them for their failures by sending them more money. I don't get it. When did we become so stupid?

Pretty much, yeah. Democrats really have no unifying policy or ideal that steers them well. They fundamentally disagree on LGB{T especially} rights, climate change policy, immigration, etc. The Democrats also love killing progressive candidates in local races and showing young people that the party abhors them.

Based on votes around the world right now, this is a spectacularly wrong take. Youth worldwide are voting more to the right than in years past. I expect this year to be no different in the US.

Well, in the US young women have steered more and more the left, and men are stable. The countries you're thinking of have a right leaning male populace for different reasons...
Korea is weird, because the "left" party isn't exactly left leaning and doesn't support liberal policies like Gay Marriage. I'd learn about their political system, because the views are generally different from the West's left/right split
UK is in a mess right now and is losing the conservative party fast. The country has not done well under 14 years of Conservative rule, but the labour party is awful and putting up a bad candidate whose milquetoast at best.
Germany/Finland/the Europe you're thinking about is currently undergoing an "ethnicity" crisis. It is not the same concerns as the Republican party. Well, I guess the white nationalists may agree. But, they have an issue with immigration in terms of assimilation and inequality. The youth have "leaned right," as in they want the government to back their ethnic culture, but if you had these youths list out the policies they want, they are left of the American center.
But if you seriously think American youth are in any significant numbers moving right, I'd have you wait and see how many will be not voting this election due to a bad Democrat candidate/will vote for Biden.

Okay, if you are so sure that the youth vote will entirely vote extreme progressive for the next fifty years, just keep steady on that path and see where it gets you. Feel free to ignore global trends if you’d like.

I really hope Biden lasts until January (dislike Kamala more than Biden) and the Dem nominee is not be replaced since I want Trump to be the next President.

Perhaps Democrats shouldn't propose candidates who have condescending attitudes towards potential voters and describe them as "deplorables.".

This is the true answer.

One Democrat used that word: Hillary Clinton. Not every Democrat. And she and the Democrat party paid dearly for it.

The Right has its own ways of condescending towards--or worse--demonizing people on the Left (e.g., "latte liberals, socialists/communists, coastal elites, the "DCUM crowd" etc, etc. But Trump actually demonizes the left, calling them "communists, Marxists, fascists, radical left thugs, and vermin" as in the following: "We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections." Neither "vermin" nor "deplorables" is a productive way to refer to your fellow countrymen, even if they are political opponents. Can we all at least agree on that?

I worked in the Yang Campaign in 2019-2020 during the primaries as a relatively high level staff and I came to the conclusion that DNC was "evil" after interacting with them on behalf of the Yang Campaign and seeing how the sausage is made.

I tell everyone that DNC is evil ever since that experience.
