They announced mls next is staying by

That’s because MLSN/2 and GA are staying BY.

Where did you hear that about GA? I heard the commissioner wasn't making any announcements about GA until May

Commissioner told families from Kings hammer

Right- like they just told families and that’s how they announced it

A parent from kings hammer posted it on some Facebook soccer parent group.

link to that? And lets all believe at FB post

It’s one particular group just posting stuff hoping for it to be true….

Can you guess which group?

The only thing interesting about the Cal South zoom call was them saying they were heavily recommending (not requiring) leagues to start SY teams in January 2026. The rest was BY parents complaining.

My question is if Cal South has the flexibility to switch to SY in winter 2026, does everyone else in USYS (and probably USCS and AYSO) have the same "flexibility"?

Did anyone get the recording?

Cal South did record it. Can guarantee it isn't worth listening to - unless you like listening to BY parents cry.

This is BS. They are different orgs. CalSouth is not stupid to make this PR blunder.

I was on the zoom meeting. I was surprised when they announced that MLSN was staying BY. It was literally the only real news that came out of the meeting. FWIW, I am a SY advocate.

"Staying BY" (for now) because the change to SY hasn't happened yet is entirely different than "staying BY" after the upcoming change to SY. No chance they were referring to the latter. That's not how big announcements get made.

It’s closed. I don’t think they are reposting.

That was the same exact thing said at the GA meeting. “As of now we have no plans to change to new cutoff dates”.
