62 early? I took the DRP

I retired in mid 40s. I had worked very part time a decade before. I want to concentrate on my health/strength, my kids, friends, travel, and investments.
No pension, but there is an 'annuity'.
NW is one million. It was my job that kept it from growing faster. I just recognized it.
will take SS at 62.
no tax expense
no healthcare expense
no college expense

Does “still working but checked out and having a mental retirement posture” count?

At work we call that “retired in place.” It’s a mocking reference to old plant equipment that has been replaced, and it’s barely used, but it’s not been removed because removal process takes many hours of engineering evaluations, etc.

Yeah people use different terms. To me “retired in place” is a boomer bashing phrase and quiet quitting is for younger checked out person but it maybe just me.

Retired at 55 when I could collect my pension and get 70% of health insurance covered. Liquid NW about 2m. No regrets at all - my physical and mental health have improved exponentially.

Late 50s. About 2.4 million in retirement accounts and other investments plus a pension. No regrets whatsoever. But I’ve always lived a fairly modest life.

We’re a couple months away. Mid 50s. We calculated it no longer makes sense to work and we want to start 401k conversions to Roth.
