| Will they be posted next week once teachers are in the school? TIA. |
|
My kid's ES doesn't tell parents til 2-3 days til school starts. They don't want parents hassling them to switch classes.
|
| Blair HS's newsletter on Tuesday the 12th said class schedules would be out on StudentVue on Monday Aug 18 |
Teachers don't even have rosters yet, not everything is a secret plot, they just prefer to wait as long as possible for accurate numbers and staffing, you'd be surprised how many are hired in the 2 weeks before school starts |
| It seems to vary a bit by school, but in past years most everyone has schedules posted by the Wednesday before school starts. |
| Our ES said next Thursday. |
Both things can be true. My kids' school literally sends a message saying that the teacher assignments will be announced on day (usually the Thursday or Friday before the start of school), that also says all assignments are final, and not to ask for changes. |
| My high schooler had to rank their class choices as many are only taught once a day (AP/IB) so he doesn’t know what he will get and many of these courses have summer work due when school starts. |
There's a way to see which courses they are registered for, but not the specific teachers/periods yet. In ParentVue click on Course History. Then if you click on English it will show all past English courses as well as the ones on their schedule for this coming year. Repeat for the other subjects. |
I’ve had my rosters for two weeks, but they are shifting around so I think counselors are not yet ready for students to see them. |
| In past years at our ES they've gone up in ParentVue on Tues or Weds, usually a couple days before they're officially announced (I think they are technically still subject to change until they're announced, but that's never happened for us or anyone else we know of.) |
| For HS, there is historically a day the week prior to when school starts when they go live on Studentvue for a SHORT period of time (like a couple of hours) and then disappear. The kids that care about this stuff are all texting each other when it happens and sometimes people post on this forum. Those schedules are only about 80% right though, as the schools are adjusting up until the last minute, so I think they don't get the official schedules until basically first day or school. I assume this is all a glitch and every year I am curious whether they will fix the glitch that causes them to go live before they are official. |
Teacher here. Yes we do. I've been able to access mine on Synergy since early July. Changes can still be made though. |
I can tell you most new hires do not. And since changes can and will be made, there isn't an urgency to send schedules out yet. |
Interesting, thanks. It’s got some of what he registered for on it but nothing for English or math. |
