Blake Lively- Jason Baldoni and NYT - False Light claims

Same poster (not the one who posted other updates above, ftr).

Freedman has responded to Lively's letter about the Wayfarer third parties. He says they have made substantial efforts and intend to comply by June 27th or no later than July 1 which is the production deadline and therefore Lively's request to the court is unnecessary. Lively is also pursuing enforcement in California and Georgia (I guess that's where some of these Wayfarer employees live) and therefore bothering Liman for no reason. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.328.0.pdf Knowing how Liman is I wouldn't be surprised if he ordered them to produce prior to June 27th. OTOH he could be annoyed this is coming to him when enforcement is happening in other jurisdictions. Thought that was a fair argument.

It feels like the script has been flipped a bit in that Lively's attorneys knew Freedman's response was due today, so they file the Taylor Swift thing and then his next response is this boring unrelated letter. Feels like the first time he's been caught flat footed on a media cycle. I'm not sure how it'll work out because Lively's lawyers emailed about Swift on June 9 so Freedman might have sensed this was coming (I kind of think this stuff matters to him more than the MTDs...) so might have something in their back pocket or respond quickly.

I'm curious if this strategy works out for Lively because it seems more like Freedman's wheelhouse.

Thanks for the update! (says me, the previous update poster ha!)

That's interesting on the PR strategy from Gottlieb, I hadn't even really considered that.

I also think it's sort of interesting that Gottlieb has known since May 22 with the Venable email that Venable didn't produce any documents to Freedman. But didn't leak that out to the press, despite the drubbing Lively and they all were getting. Remember those dark day?

Also, on Reddit is has been posted that Brett Douglas McDowell (the dogpool guy that Liman denied leave to intervene) moved to recuse Judge Liman from this case, but that's not available on courtlistener yet and I'm not linking to McDowell's googledrive docs.

That's hilarious about Dogpool guy.

Yeah, that is surprising that Gottlieb didn't try to clear his name!

Gottlieb has filed another motion requesting permission to serve Matthew Mitchell, a prior member of Jonesworks, who with Jones and Abel was assigned to handle Baldoni's PR crisis, via LinkedIn and by phone. They have sent a process server to try to serve him at home on 8 occasions, waiting 2 hours each time, with no luck, and his neighbors don't know his whereabouts.

https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304/gov.uscourts.nysd.634304.331.0.pdf

It really is something how Willkie and Manatt just keep churning out these motions at all hours while Freedman is mostly in defensive mode.

No appearance on the docket yet of the recusal motion. Also, for anyone who remembers, no appearance yet of Baldoni's lone amicus brief sent in by mail last week, so who knows what's up with that.

Also, the normally Baldoni supportive Reddit subs are going through some things? The account of one of main mods who was very supportive to Baldoni was closed, and now the IEWLawsuits sub has more pro-Lively than pro-Baldoni mods? And is starting to get more pro-Lively posters? And people are making posts there that you NEVER would have seen a week ago, like "Brian Freedman Lied?" and "Venable claims they never gave any information to Freedman" and "why didn't Baldoni include a single quote from the NYT article in his $250m defamation suit?" and "Mistakes made by Justin Baldoni's legal team?"

It's shockingly self aware, it's like they are starting to get it! But it probably has a lot to do with the moderation switch.

The Blake Lively PR team has taken over this thread…

Is anyone following stroller gate? Blake and Ryan did a pap walk with an infant stroller meanwhile their youngest kid is 2.5. These people are so gross and attention hungry. Their PR stunts keep backfiring b/c they don’t know how to be anything besides fake.

Ha, I believe this. They seem to have put two shills who post night and day about nonsense on this thread (and from what I can tell they are shilling all over Reddit too and people notice). So what’s to stop them from a silly stroller pap walk too?

Honestly, I'm just glad you guys are alive, I was actually a little worried about you. I know it's been a tough week.

It’s quite pathetic. They don’t want to show their kid, which is understandable, but they want to show that she’s a mom because it helps their feminist, victim, vulnerability schtick. So they think, here’s what we should do, let’s get a rear-facing infant stroller and walk around town with it. Problem is moms picked up on the scam right away because Blake’s youngest is practically a preschooler and now they’re being dragged on the internet lol.

lol!!

Hudson's move with Swift feels like when Hamilton stole cannons from the British. Between that and the dismissal, this really has been the best week for Lively in a long time.

Not a tough week. Blake’s an idiot for bringing up the Taylor stuff again. It makes it even more clear that Taylor is completely done with her because if they’re besties, why can’t Blake ask Taylor what was told or given to freedman?! With these people, every accusation is an admission.

It’s actually getting very little media attention. About on par with the Liman conflict of interest accusations. Blake should be careful what she wishes for. BF might just use this as an invitation to share more about their witness tampering and evidence spoliation.

DP. They know what Taylor gave. It's in the email from her lawyer. No documents and no testimony. NAG has some crazy theory that Venable just "showed" Freedman the letter without giving him a copy, and I generally like NAG, but that is some theory.
