Now that summer swim is over...

...what do we talk about for the next 10 months??

We can only hope it returns to a place of useful advice and information for parents of club swimmers.

But it'll probably be swamped by the continuation of the pre-summer commentary about a certain new club.

Looks like some fast swims at the Futures meets this past week/weekend.

Has anyone left MCSL to go to NVSL (while still living in Montgomery County)? I like that NVSL let's 9-10s do 50s of every stroke (except fly) and has a 10&U 100IM instead of 12&U 100 IM.

Nothing sounds more fun than dealing with hellacious traffic to go to summer swim practices and meets just so 9 year
old Larlo can do 50s instead of 25s.

We can complain about RMSC, blocks, winter swim favoritism, tech suits....

That's one of the dumbest ideas ever posited on DCUM. It's as if you don't live here and don't understand the traffic.

I do know of who lives in Montgomery County, but drives their kid to NCAP in Tysons/Vienna. However, in that case, the kid went to a private school out there and the parent worked there too.

And back to summer swim discussions...

I have my DDs swimming MCSL, NVSL, CCSDA, and the Prince-Mont League. We leave MCSL meets after free and get to NVSL for the second half. I need them to swim in college. D1.
