Does Kohls even want to be in business?

Anonymous
I haven't ordered from them in a very long time (used to get baby/kids Carters stuff there a lot) but found a dress I liked for an event I had coming up. They gave me a delivery date of 8 days from when I ordered, which seemed a bit long but whatever. Well that day came and went. I tracked the item and it's been sitting at the UPS facility nearest my house unmoved/unscanned for 4 days. I contacted Kohls and they won't help me until the item is 6 business days late, which is after my event.

So, I'm obviously not wearing the dress to my event and will return it if/when it ever comes and will not make the mistake of ordering from Kohls again. I guess this is why they have declining sales and profits and have to close a bunch of stores.

It seems like that isn’t really Kohl’s fault, but is UPS’s.

Go get it yourself, this is a UPS issue.

Not a shill for kohls but agree - this doesn’t seem like a kohls issue.

Same boat op, except it was a button-down shirt and it's still sitting in some warehouse in NY despite ordering it 10 days ago.
Its really frustrating.

I know Kohls can't do anything, but I can't figure out why they dont have more "ship to store" options bc i assume inventory us frequently moved and I have a greater chance of getting my order sooner.

Kohls has always had very slow, bargain-basement shipping. Honestly even some higher end brands have bad logistics too. If you want something on time, I usually do Macy’s buy online pick up in store. If you check different stores, usually there’s one that will have what you need in stock and you can pick it up quickly.

This.

I own a business and customers don't understand that once packages are in the possession of the shipping service, we can do nothing until a certain point (e.g., file a claim, get higher tier support, etc). I've done this for 15 years and it is harder now than ever to get support from UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

I do not understand who is shopping at Kohls. I have never had any desire to go in one.

+1 always seemed like such a gimmicky store with all their points and coupons and whatnot. Give me a TJMaxx or Macy's any day.

It’s good for kids clothes and shoes, and for housewares/linens. Their adult stuff for both men’s and women’s is very ehhhh in store.

The stores are a complete mess. The shopping experience and checkout are on par with Burlington or Marshall's. Just junk everywhere that you have to rummage through. I go to these stores only for kids shoes or other kid items that must be bought new.

Fine, but this is an online purchase (which btw, Kohls has lots of very deep discounts and is good for use for this purpose) and the OP is blaming Kohls when it's clearly the carrier's fault.

It is a Kohls issue but the only thing a customer can do is report it missing. They cannot file a claim. If its gone missing after a certain time, a good business will refund or resend the product. Ultimately its on that business to make it right. Good customer service is important or you lose customers.

8 days past the delivery date, Kohls should resend it or refund. Its not coming.
