This is simply horrifying:
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1mz8gxzg82o Why isn’t there more reporting on this in the media? It almost seems like people are glossing over Hamas’ own human rights abuses. |
Awful. Hamas is condemnable and should be eliminated as a political entity without any power to govern the Palestinian people, or harm the Israeli and Palestinian people, moving forward. I think what you perceive as “glossing over” is simply the reality of the statehood vs. lack of statehood question. It will always be far easier to focus on the human rights abuses of a nation with a sovereign government than it will be to focus on (and do anything about) the human rights abuses of a militia. For better or worse, the former is held to a much higher standard of conduct. |
Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization and IDF is not. IDF does the same thing: https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/03/1161081
It’s all disgustingly inhuman. Aidf should be named a terrorist organization and US should stop funding Israel. We, Americans, should not pick and chose which organization we vilify for sexual violence. |
The U.N. report describes nothing like Hamas' atrocities; there's no comparison. Any abuse of civilians is regrettable, but considering Hamas' extensive vile conduct and initiation of the conflict, the U.N. allegations are relatively trivial (people had to sit on the ground in their underwear, really?), not to mention the well-known biased character of much U.N. reporting to begin with. Hamas, and those who raised, indoctrinated, sheltered, and encouraged them, deserve no mercy. And, have been receiving just what they deserve. |
Extrajudiciously murdering innocent non-combatants and using rusty metal bars to sodomize and kill detainees is not just as bad? Meanwhile, bear in mind what the IDF is fully documented as having done prior to and since Israel declared statehood. NOTHING goes beyond that. |
But Hamas are the good guys according to DCUM. |
There is no moral high ground to be found on either side in this ongoing conflict. Anyone taking a side in this conflict is a terrible human being unless they are taking the side of all the innocent people trapped within this conflict while at the mercy of their awful rulers. |
Point to even one post that characterized Hamas as “good guys”, you toad. We’ll wait. You’ll skulk back to the Tel Aviv troll farm. Nobody will be surprised. |
NP. You are not a serious person. Most Hamas-supporters are not. |
No hostage male or female reported rape, abortion doctors in Isrsel were brought assuming the women were pregnant and they denied rape. The sister of one of the deceased said the Nytimes was lying snd her sister was not raped on 10/7.
are the families lying? |
You're either a pathological liar or or ignorant to an astonishing degree, or perhaps are just a Hamas apologist. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67629181 https://press.un.org/en/2024/sc15621.doc.htm https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/28/world/middleeast/oct-7-attacks-hamas-israel-sexual-violence.html Etc., etc., etc. |
Will BBC ever get around to reporting this happening in Britain too? |
Oh no. Israel must be getting ready or already done more horrific crimes against humanity. These fake stories always come out as Israel does these things. |
There were several corrections to the NY times story. One incident of rape of two sisters reported in the story turned out to be not true. Here is a great breakdown of the NY times article going into the research of it: https://theintercept.com/2024/02/28/new-york-times-anat-schwartz-october-7/ |
In a statement the U.N. Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls said: "It is my understanding that neither the Commission nor any other independent human rights mechanism established that sexual or gender-based violence was committed against Israelis on or since the 7th of October as a systematic tool of war or as a tool of genocide," Alsalem wrote in the statement. https://www.nbcnews.com/world/israel/hamas-israel-sexual-violence-rape-war-oct-7-rcna217401 |
