Keeping and attracting smart federal employees

Nothing. All the feds I know who weren’t DOGEd or RIFfed are leaving because either they are being asked to do unethical things or idiotic things like only using Fox News as a news source for international events.

My smart coworkers are staying out of spite. Also our work in private industry isn’t as exciting so we are hanging on despite this administration’s goal to get us to quit.

Some great talent can stay and hopefully ride it out; to rebuild at a later time. Thank G-d for them. But nobody worth their salt will ever go apply to work for the Feds. Even if you get a stable administration at a later time, America has proven we will just elect a psycho on a whim.

The GOP doesn't want this, so until something changes, the Federal Government will not be attracting the best and brightest who are committed to making our country better.
