What happens to trophy wives when they are old and lose their looks?

What usually happens to divorced former trophy wives if they find themselves without a well-off man when they're past their prime (65 and older)? I'm talking about women who didn't work while married and those who didn't have college degrees or well-paying professions. How do they maintain their lifestyle on their own? Or don't they? If your plan was a man, but your man is no longer around and the alimony stops, who pays your bills?

Agreed it's an odd concern. I'm hoping it's not related to SAHM v WOHM drama. Anyhow, from my mom's generation I would say these women are happy and have lived successful lives. All have outlived their husbands (a few remarried) and are living independently (a few in senior living).

They have enough money to live till 100. Man gone doesn't mean the money is gone.

First of all, a trophy wife isn’t staying married until she’s 65 — her husband will trade her in for a newer model before the odometer hits 40.

If she hasn’t squirreled away assets and/or received a generous settlement, she’ll next target the 60-70 year olds for marriage #2. Or parlay her connections into a job — ideally one that throws her into the path of potential partners. Real estate, high-end auto sales, boutiques, event planning — all these benefit from having an extensive contact list.

It's called alimony and child support. A trophy wife by definition is an attractive woman whose regarded as a status symbol to a wealthy man. So they'll always be taken care of.

Well, by the time they lose their looks, they are mothers of grown kids, have picked up a career or hobby, are legally 50% owner of all family assets, caretaker of aging husband so they just age in synchronicity.

Nowadays a trophy wife has to have a degree from a prestigious college, a six figure career and a social network as well so she can manage whatever comes her way.
