You'll never guess who the star witness against Kilmar Abrego Garcia is...

Anonymous
The Trump administration has made a deal with Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, a 38-year-old three-time felon, to avoid prison time by releasing him early and to spare him from deportation in exchange for testifying against Kilmar Abrego García. All this so they can double down on their claims about Abrego Garcia and have the last word on the matter.

Garcia has no criminal record. This is Hernandez Reyes's record:

2015: Arrested for public drunkenness in Virginia, paid a fine.
2016: Arrested for cocaine possession in Texas, case dismissed.
2017: Pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DWI in Texas, served 60 days in jail, paid a $1,500 fine, and forfeited a handgun.
2018: Deported to El Salvador, illegally reentered, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor illegal reentry, served 30 days, deported again.
2019: Pleaded guilty to migrant smuggling in Mississippi, sentenced to 18 months in federal prison.
2022: Pleaded guilty to felony deadly conduct for firing a gun while intoxicated in a Texas neighborhood, sentenced to two years in state prison.
Post-2022: Charged with illegal reentry after a felony, sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.

Welcome to America, Jose! Hope I don't run into you when you're driving around under the influence or firing a gun publicly while intoxicated.

So will he be dismissed before he could even testify due his lack of credibility? I am no judge but I would not consider this credible info if I were a jurist.

OP here. Apparently he has already been released from federal prison to a halfway house in exchange for his cooperation in testifying against Abrego García. The release occurred before his testimony, as court records indicate he was moved to a halfway house prior to testifying during grand jury proceedings that led to Abrego’s indictment. His early release and transfer to a halfway house were part of the deal for his cooperation, with him being allowed to stay in the U.S. for at least a year and potentially receive a work permit.

He was the owner of the SUV that Garcia was driving while trafficking illegal aliens. And the deal was that he wouldn’t be deported for “at least a year.”

Yeah, but until then, he is free to work and continue the lifestyle to which he was accustomed to, including driving while intoxicated and brandishing a weapon in public. Just the kind of US resident we want...

Safety is a small price to pay for the current administration saving face from admitting their own mistake and then getting unanimously chastised for disobeying the Supreme Court by by the 4th circuit.

KAG isn't going to trial. They will deport him at soon as he is released on bail.

I should be shocked, but I am not. Trump’s depravity and utter lies knows no bottom. Same with his admin. Deplorables.

I’m sure they will come up with more witnesses if those witness are offered a legal chance to stay. I’m just waiting for a woman he transported to say he hit or abused her somehow. If his wife had restraining orders against him due to violence then at least one woman he transported is going to come out of the woodwork.

Seriously people jury notification is the only line we have left.

So one criminal testifies against another.

And?

This is why the judge said he is not releasing him on bail.

Then he’ll be deported immediately after the trial, if he’s acquitted, or immediately after serving his sentence, if convicted.

But there’s absolutely no possible way he stays in this country.

Better deported than in a black hole prison from which no one leaves.

And the witness, who has been convicted for a variety of crimes, gets to get out of jail early and avoid deportation for the near future.

Abrego Garcia is an MS-13 gang member, is he not? He was pulled over with a car full of illegal aliens, was he not?

Not to say this other guy is a prize himself, as he clearly is not. But save your high righteousness for actual cases of innocent people, not a slime like Abrego Garcia.

It makes y'all look crazy.

Where has any of that been proven? I could make up stuff about you. Make sure it went viral by paying social media companies to alter algorithms, and boom everyone believes me. For what?
