Iran's parliment approves closing of the Straight of Hormuz

20% of the worlds oil passes through the straight through the Persian Gulf, its wars ofd their shore. In 1978 when we supported the Shah in the Iranian revolution the price of oil shot up from $35 a barrel to $78 a barrel, a doubling in the price of oil. Looking forward to the higher oil and consumer prices and recession that will follow.

I just want personally thank Israel for the conflict and the awesome intelligence work they gave us to go into Iraq - the U.S. army is still looking for that Yellow Cake they promised us we would find if we overthrew Saddam. $3T for that war and Americans are still paying the interest on that debt for it to this day.

Low oil prices are killing our allies KSA and OPEC and our domestic oil industries. Higher prices are needed.

I'd say this was actually Trump's 5D chess objective - but of course it wasn't. Just a side benefit to whatever it is that we're doing in the Middle East right now.

Yes— higher oil prices are definitely what is in the interest of Americans across the country— it’s good when Americans have to spend more to drive their cars and elsewhere— that’s why there is a national outcry when the price of gas drops below $3 a gallon.

Gosh I wish there was a 5D chess situation. But instead I think there's just an easily manipulated, insecure dotard and a coterie of cartoon villains. God help us all.

The price of groceries will go up as well since it’ll cost more to transport . Thank you Trump!

Do you think the people who were complaining about egg’s price want higher oil prices?

Do we think Trump even knows how to play actual chess?

So you confirm that Trump is defending OPEC and the Saudi’s interests.

Iran itself exports its oil through the Straight of Hormuz. And 90 percent of it goes to China. Closing the straight would be a cut off your nose to spite your face move. The blockade would be broken in days and it would result in a major military escalation that would be supported by every nation in the Gulf, and frankly, the entire world that depends on Gulf oil. With the USS Gerald Ford set to be in the area in the coming days, that's three aircraft groups in the region. That is an unbelievable amount of firepower that Iran has no answer for. Their only rational response at this point would be to accept that their nuclear weapons program has come to an end and pursue a ceasefire. Any escalation that Iran pursues from here is going to be met with devastation for the Iranian regime.

+1. Can't wait to be paying $4 or more a gallon for a war we have no business getting involved in.

Not even the Saudi, Putin. Russia is financing its economy and Ukraine war thanks to oil and low prices were killing Russia’s economy.

The idiots thought they voted for America First and voted for Israel and Russia first instead.
