Afternoon bike commute for next week.
What can I do to make this less of an ordeal? |
| Take as many clothes off as possible. Have a camelback or the likes for agua. |
| Attach a battery operated fan to your helmet. |
| Hire someone to ride next to you fanning you with a huge palm frond |
| Take the bus. |
| At 15mph, 2 miles will take about 8 minutes. You can manage. |
OP here. Except it takes a lot more time with red lights and intersections. During which I gently poach in my own juices. Also there's a hill. |
On the way back, that hill will work to your advantage so it should even out. |
| Change clothes, drink water, and give in to the sweat. Shower when you get home. |
So its 15 mins? That about my walk to the Metro. You will be ok |
Change at your destination. |
Wet cloth around your neck maybe. Otherwise, not that big of a deal. Biking in the morning at 80 and humid is going to work up a sweat though, so hopefully you have a shower facility at the office. |
| Just Uber for the week, for crying out loud. Why would you do that to yourself? |
| Are you a woman? I put ice in my sports bra on 100 degree days. Seriously. I did a 50 mile bike ride to the beach a couple years ago in 105 degree weather. Ice is your friend. |
| Wuss! I bike 14 so bite me |
