You want the name of the minor?

This should not be surprising. 1/2 the student population probably could be affected.

It is very interesting which protests MCPS allows and doesn’t allow and support. If students and parents protest against MCPS itself, they frown upon that. But because it’s ICE I see a bunch of MCPS brass encouraging it.

They should keep that same energy for when the protests are directed at them.

Is there another news article you're referring to?

Yes.

To be fair, it's kind of hard to interview a minor who is in the custody of federal officers, but you should feel free to try and let us know what you find out.

I do wish we knew more about the kid who was taken, if only to support his/her family and our broader community. But it's not my *right* to know that, nor do I doubt the word of the Latino student group organizing this protest.

Yes.

So, if the government takes someone and sends them to a distant land with no due process, the media shouldn't report on it because they aren't here to interview?

Is that your final answer?

I think the ^PP was stating that those kids who are walking out probably never even spoke to the deported kid. But, that's not a requirement to protest against an injustice that they feel is happening.

He’s not a minor unless he chose to go with a parent. He’s at least 18.

You're an idiot and clueless, otherwise you would have known that his/her demographic is the biggest at the school.
