I ate more and still lose weight on Ozempic

Anonymous
I have been watching my calories for 25 years, I was able to lose weight if I eat less than 1200 calories when I was younger, and 1100 calories with age. It was always hard work, liking managing a project that never stops. As soon as I stop I gain weight.

I was put on Ozempic. I am losing weight on 1400-1500 calories. It is speeding up my metabolism instead of suppressing my appetite. I am so pleasently surprised. I never understood why my friends could eat a lot more than I and stay slim.

There is a recent study on this -

Many drugs do this. Is why meth users are always so skinny while pounding tons of junk food.

How much weight did/do you have to lose when you started?

Do you have diabetes?

Because I doubt the credibility of anyone posting that they are on the weight loss med ... "Ozempic."

It's Wegovy for weight loss, and everyone on it for weight loss knows this and doesn't call it Ozempic.

NP. Ozempic is the word that is used in the news when describing glp-1 drugs. Have you ever heard the term “Wegovy Face?” No? That’s right, it’s called “Ozempic Face.” Now go touch grass.

Thanks for sharing OP. That is amazing news!

Np. Ditto. I’m eating fairly normally. In fact, I eat far more carbs than I used to. But I’m still losing weight, albeit slower now. I’ve lost about 40 lbs.

Same. I was down to 1200 a day and just miserable. I average 1500-1600 a day now on zepbound (som e days are lower, some days are lower, but this is the average bwo). Zepbound totally fixed my insulin resistance, I am guessing.

Isnt that abusing the purpose of the drug?

Exacty. When I tell people I'm on Zepbound they say "What's that?" so I just say Ozempic

Why would that be?

You’re injecting lizard venom into your body. That has to have some long term unwanted side effects.
