BBL or gym?

So I don't have a pancake butt yet but it used to be big and round (I'm latin) when I was younger now it's just flattish than it was before and I had a small waist. Years of sitting at a home office. I'm still pretty skinny at 114 but I was 140 at one point. Big for me (i'm short). So curiously I've looked around and it appears a lot of woman want the body I used to have. Time is of essence though and I plan to hit the gym soon but how long would it actually take to get back where I was? I don't really want to get butt injections or a BBL. They look so unnatural to me. But they are quicker and easier. I have some fitness plans I plan to follow to start with but I don't want to waste my time. I know I'd have to pick a gym closer to me to go often though but besides that what else should I look for? I used to be at planet fitness but I don't see any progress there.

Why is time of the essence for a bigger butt?

Time is everything!

I’m Sterling to believe this is an honest question, but in case you’re for real, get a personal trainer. You’ll make much faster progress and avoid injecting toxins in your body. Even if you can’t pay for many sessions, the personal trainer can devise a workout routine that you implement at the gym yourself. It should take you a couple months to learn it.

It is so simple. Search routines on Youtube for workout training butt.

There are a galizzion videos.

Here are the main exercises:

Hip thrust
Squat variations
Lunge (hold some weights) this can be done at home when don’t feel like heading to gym

It takes time to build muscle and you need to train and eat for it. Planet fitness should have all you need so your program was likely more of a problem. So find yourself a decent program to follow and get consistent with it. Without knowing how you look and your body composition it is hard to give you advice on that part, but your nutrition will absolutely need to be dialed in too. And learn to be patient. This will not happen overnight.

Gym. Always gym. BBLs look very odd, because it doesn’t match thighs and supporting structures. It’s like how people with lip fillers always look weird - the surrounding pieces don’t fit.

Gym

I have a pancake butt by nature and have to work hard to keep it from dropping to the backs of my knees

I find at 53 it also really helps my back and everything else to have strong glutes. I slacked for a while on any strength work after an extended illness — just had a hard time getting back to a routine — and it was noticeable.

Fwiw I also work from home and recently got a sit/stand desk. It helps so much! I can some little bits of strength work during the day.

Only pay for a trainer if you're afraid of not being able to commit to an exercise routine, OP. And there's no shame in that.

Otherwise, there's all the free stuff you need online, in Youtube videos, to help you strength-train so that you regain a little bounce.

Please understand that you will not go back to your old body. Skin loses its elasticity over time, so certain parts will sag more than before. But your body will be perkier, for lack of a better word, if your muscles can hold up fatty parts of your body

You think butt surgery is quicker and easier than just doing some squats?

As far as you getting a tight butt again, you have to exercise and cut the carbs.
Implants? Good lord, expect those to leak in that area. Look up health risks of silicone. It's not like breast implants in a mostly passive area.

The surgery in that area is not a permanent solution (unlike, say, under the muscle breast implants). All butts will sag. I say go to the gym, work on your squats, and save up for a deep plane facelift later. No one looks at your butt when you are 70 anyway, but everyone will see your face up until you are 6 feet under.

Squats, this made a big difference for me
