| Went to the grocery store yesterday and about a 1/2 dozen people were wearing masks. What is going around? |
| Cancer? |
| Not sure why inside, but I unearthed my old masks for dog walking because of the allergies. I don't know what is going on, but it is insane out there and the Claritin has not touched it. I am freaking miserable. |
| Could be for allergies too. |
| Covid surge and bird flu. |
| I also think it's allergies. |
| Were you at Trader Joe’s? Every time I am there, there is a large group of masked Gen Zers. Weird. |
It is Trader Joe’s. That tracks. |
| Flu is going around at my kids school , and something is spreading at my job . So maybe they are sick or worried about getting sick. |
| Because I have a horrible health condition and I don’t want your cold. |
| I'm seeing that in NYC, and I think it's because the wind has been kicking up tons of tree pollen for the past several days. My seasonal allergies are usually mild, but I needed to take meds for them this week. |

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I feel like maybe they just don’t want to get sick, are sick, or have horrid allergies. Many people are wearing them just walking around my neighborhood, too, not just in stores.
It’s like they’re in the early Covid days when we were all afraid to walk near anyone even outside. Who knows — maybe they know something we don’t? |
| In DC it’s shoplifters |
No, Harris teeter in Virginia. Old people, middle age, even kids. Flu was very bad here in April so not sure it’s that. Haven’t heard of anyone getting covid in a long time. Maybe it is allergies. Just seemed odd all of a sudden. |

Covid and flu. It’s not being reported bc that entire dept was fired and all communications have to go through another agency. We have no way of knowing.
Meanwhile, a new variant is on the rise and very contagious. |
